photos + type

photos by Shaun Boyte
design by Chelsea Hansen

We are finally getting our place put together. That means unpacking the last of our boxes and making our dining table (the thing I'm most excited for!). I think that having prints or photos on the walls makes a home feel cozier. Maybe because a space feels more lived in with faces or words on the walls. We didn't have much on the walls in our last place and it sort of drove me nuts. This time, I'm adding things. It's just a little here and there, very slowly, but it's something. I created these three prints to put onto wood block. They are some of the photos that Shaun took when he was here creating the San Diego creatives video. Next up is figuring out where to put them. That's always a tough one.

Hope everyone has a lovely July 4th full of fireworks, popsicles, and BBQ.

prints.

Here's some prints that I want desperately for our home from three different artists.

1 | 2 | 3

These first three are from Lizzy Stewart. I really like the colors she uses and all of the pretty details in each piece.

These prints are by Jon Contino. I could see all of these hanging above Philip's work space (one day, when we get around to making him one).

These three prints are by Emily Martin aka The Black Apple. I have a few prints from her shop and just adore them. There's something about her work that is haunting, but innocent all at the same time.

I love these prints from Lucius Art on Etsy. Anyone that quotes "Dayman" is ok in my book.

Giveaway Winner

I foud Australian artist, Nikki Catalano, via decor8. I LOVE these prints! Her work is so happy and youthful. If I had kids, her art would be covering the walls. However, I don't think I'll have a problem finding space for her work in our kid-free home.

I realized that I forgot to announce the giveaway winner! whoops. This month's crazy. I feel like I'm going to be forgetting a lot of things in these next few weeks.

Well, the winner is...

Congratulations, Georgia! Maybe I can hand deliver your wreath ;)
If you haven't, head on over to Modern Crush's blog. It's a lovely place to visit.

Thank you for entering this giveaway. I had so much fun reading through everyone's holiday traditions!
