I love when photographers capture moments like these. The ones you may not remember or even notice, yet they are some of the sweetest.

photos + type
photos by Shaun Boyte
design by Chelsea Hansen
We are finally getting our place put together. That means unpacking the last of our boxes and making our dining table (the thing I'm most excited for!). I think that having prints or photos on the walls makes a home feel cozier. Maybe because a space feels more lived in with faces or words on the walls. We didn't have much on the walls in our last place and it sort of drove me nuts. This time, I'm adding things. It's just a little here and there, very slowly, but it's something. I created these three prints to put onto wood block. They are some of the photos that Shaun took when he was here creating the San Diego creatives video. Next up is figuring out where to put them. That's always a tough one.
Hope everyone has a lovely July 4th full of fireworks, popsicles, and BBQ.

Sarah's photography truly tells a story. I'm always blown away by her shoots- this one especially. She says on her website that she wanted to do a little red riding hood shoot for a while now and that when it finally happened, it was quite the adventure. Read about that story and see more of these lovely photos on her website.

styled.
I really admire styling that looks so effortless. Although beautiful, don't these photos look so casual and inviting? I also love the pops of color in each one.
I have been missing my camera lately. Now that we live somewhere with so much natural light, I have been inspired to start taking more photos. I've always wanted to try my hand at styling, so I think I'll start with food. If you follow me on instagram, you know that I love eating and photographing what I eat. What a better place to share these photos than here?

real wedding. malorie and nels.

I was so thrilled when Malorie sent me pictures from her wedding! I made a custom Love Birds Cake Topper for her special day. I also sent her a set of Hearts Cupcake Toppers and was impressed on how those were incorporated into the cake design.
Tim Fitch took these lovely photos. You can see his full post with more pictures from Malorie and Nels's wedding on his blog. (She wore the prettiest lace tights and cowboy boots under her dress!)
Congratulations to Malorie and Nels♥

deja vu.

Dave and Shelly were married a few weeks ago at the gorgeous Temecula Farmhouse. I was so excited when I saw Bethann's pictures because I noticed something familiar. I made this ring bearer book stack for another wedding last year. [This handsome ring bearer was in charge of it at both weddings]. I was happy to see it used in another wedding. You can see Bethann's full post of her lovely photos here.

Johnny Miller.

I saw these lovely photos by Johnny Miller over at Oh My Deer Handmades. Aren't they beautiful?! I was instantly drawn to them because, for a while, Philip and I had been collecting colored glass bottles to display in a window sill. We had quite the collection going. We never displayed them like we originally intended- they're scattered on shelves all over the house. I think it's time for a little redecorating...again.
