One of the things I dislike about having an Etsy shop is listing things. I will make the pieces, take pictures, edit pictures (no fun either), have tons of products ready to go, and take forever with listing them. I'll go from tab to tab in my chrome browser and waste time hitting refresh on facebook, twitter, blah blah blah. I will waste so much time in avoiding the listing process.
However, in the past few days, I have updated the shop with a bunch of new items. It feels so good to not procrastinate and just get it done. How do you make yourself do things you don't want to do?
first of all, all of those things are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSecond of all, I HATE listing things in the shop too. It's such a tedious process, especially the tagging part. I'm so bad at it. I have realized over the past 6 months, that listing items is a whole lot easier with the copy button. Then I can just tweak what I need to and leave the rest the same. Which means I don't have to retag similar items. It has made life easier for me.
The more you do it, the easier and faster it gets.
xo.
beautiful Chels!! Every piece is stunning. Especially the first one.
ReplyDeleteYes, I hear you on the listing. There is so many things that have to be factored into the cost of the item - the materials, the cost to make it - AND the time it takes to photograph the items and list them. It all adds up!! I have been trying to come up with more designs I can duplicate to save myself from having to photograph and edit each item I ever make. I guess thats part of the labor of love!!
I just adore your work. I want to have another wedding (but keep my husband, ha) just to use some of these goodies!!
