weekend.

My nephew turned 1 today! How did that go by so fast? I feel like I just wrote this post. I guess not. Jesse and Becky took these adorable pictures of him with a smash cake. It looks like he had SO much fun! :)

We are having a birthday party for him tonight. It will be fun to see him and hang out with my family. Tomorrow I get to have a sleepover with a bunch of girlfriends. Haha, yep. It's being hosted by my friend's husband (how sweet is that?). I feel like I enjoy sleepovers even more now that I'm all gown up. Maybe because I appreciate one after a long week of work...and a glass of sangria with my girlfriends ;)

What are your plans for the weekend?

illusions, dad. you don't have time for my illusions.

I thought these pictures were hilarious. It looks like Jack's doing some kind of magic trick.

...and one handed.

my nephew is cuter than yours.

[more adorable pictures on the limelife blog]

Look at that munchkin! Jack turned 6 months yesterday. I can't believe he's been in our lives for that long. He is the happiest little guy you've ever seen [and, let's be honest, the most handsome].

Whenever I get to spend time with him or my nieces, I wish that we lived much closer to our family. I know we don't have it that bad, they're only 45 minutes away. If we did live closer, we would just get to see everyone more often [Every aunties dream].

Our amazing friends at Limelife Photography took these pictures. They are super talented [obviously] and one of the funnest couples to be around! I am so excited because they're taking photos for The Dainty Woods soon. I can't wait!

I think you should check out their portfolio. Also, you should really get some family photos taken soon- those kiddos grow fast. Come on, when's the last time you had professional pictures taken of them? Thank about it.

Sundays.

This weekend was a good one, but a busy one. I took a few pictures here and there. I'm still trying to get better at that.

We visited Jake, Nat, and Jack! Philip finally got to meet his nephew AND hold a new born for the first time!

We're not sure ow Jack feels about his uncle yet ;)

He's so cute and cuddly! I just love that little face!

On Sunday, we went for a walk to Filter. The first thing we always see when we leave our driveway is our neighbor's dog Hugo. He's so Cute! He usually jumps about 4 feet in the air when he sees us.

After Filter, we tought it would be a good idea to go to one of our favorite thrift stores sine it was right there. We spent almost an hour in their book sections looking for books for our projects. All of a sudden, we realized that we were walking home. So we didn't get TOO many....but we did find a lot ;)

I found the COOLEST book while we were there! It is a french book that was printed in the late 50's. It's in pretty good condition. It's so sweet because it has the BEST illustrations!!! My favorite was definitely this first guy who I think is just refered to as "The Moustache"

Meet Jack!

My brother and sister-in-law are new parents! They had their first little boy on September 16th (3 days after my brother's birthday). Yeah, that's right, I have a nephew and he is the COOLEST!

Meet Jack Michael...
He is soooo cute! I love him so much! Unfortunately, I got sick pretty sick the day after he was born. I got to see him the first two days when they were in the hospital. Since then, I haven't seen him bc I didn't want to get the little guy sick. But now I'm feeling better and I am so excited to go cuddle him!

In the meantime, I've been occupying myself by making custom little onsies for him to wear.
Thank goodness for his awesome parents who have sent me about 10 pictures and video texts of him everyday! :)
