just thinkin.

So lately I've been seriously considering getting a tattoo. It's always been a thought, but never a serious one. I always just say, "I know I can't handle the pain." However, lately I've been thinking that I could. I just want something small so the pain wouldn't last for too long. Also, once they start, that's it, there's no turning back. I have a lot of ideas in the works for designs and their significance. We'll see if this ever becomes a reality. Here's some inspiration for it either way:

I love the look of these very natural and delicate feathers. Also, I think the placement of each one compliments the shape so well. I think that this first one is my favorite. 1 || 2

I really like the handwritten look. Very pretty. 1 || 2

I absolutely love the placement of both of these (especially this first one). 1 || 2

I've always liked the idea of having one on my wrist. These keys are cute, but I don't know if I could commit to them forever. 1 || 2

If my sister and I ever got tattoos together, I would consider this idea. Adorable!

Last but not least: I would never get this, but I think it is so rad!

What are your thoughts on tattoos? If you have them, what kind of significance do they have?

  1. You would look great with one, I would not. I think the important thing is to never get a "trendy" tattoo. You have to get something meaningful, that way it will make sense for the rest of your life.

    I love the feathers...

  3. i love that first feather tattoo! i have a lot of tattoos and they don't all have to have meaning... they all are a piece of me because they are what i love. i think something delicate, like any of these pieces, would be a good fit for you! especially if you are only looking to get one or two small pieces... but let me warn you--getting tattooed is addicting! you may not think so now, but once you start, you will be eager to collect more :)

  5. The feather tattoos are really pretty. I've been wanting one forever but haven't decided what it would be exactly, maybe something Beatles related.

  6. I have a tattoo on my wrist of roman numerals of the day my mom passed away. It is something really meaningful to me, and I know I will never regret getting it. I am trying to think long and hard before jumping into getting another one. I thought about the one I have for about a year before I got it...I think the key is to think about it and realize if it is something that is timeless and that you will love forever!
